Ranch Dressing

We sure love Ranch Dressing in this home.  Well, to be truthful, we love most dressings and good food for that matter.  I probably should call this Ranch/Dill dressing, because of my love of Dill.
We are still enjoying the Aerogarden.  I have some planted an assortment of lettuces, That makes for quick salads at any given time.  The best thing with the amount of recalls on lettuces and our food sources this is a healthier way.  Grow your own.  It's that wonderful time of year to do just that!

**Note** Pickle juice is optional and does change the taste
The choice is up to you.

You may use what you have on hand in the fridge or pantry.  The results will differ, but there can be substitutions.  I make my own pickles and I like the taste of the pickle juice in this recipe. Personally, I like buttermilk better but whole milk, will work. I realize we don't all keep buttermilk on hand.

Tips*
Taste as you go to get it the way you like it.

Substitutions*
You may substitute dry herbs for fresh, but cut to 1/2 in measurements.
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper ~ for the black pepper and fresh lemon juice.
** Optional ingredient** But you can substitute, should you decide to add ~White vinegar and a pinch of white sugar ~ for the bread & butter pickle juice
1/2 tsp. onion powder ~ for the minced onion
1/2 tsp. granulated garlic ~ for the minced garlic
Whole milk ~ for the buttermilk

I use a re-purposed salsa canning jar for storing mine in. You can use a quart canning jar with plenty of room to shake or stir dressing between uses.
