Let's Take A Walk Around The Yard

We always enjoyed walking around Mama's gardens in her yard

She took great joy in showing off everything that grew

So beautifully underneath her caring hands

I guess I've inherited that from her

I like to take the walks in my gardens too!

This Dog Has Talent: A Dog and His Fish

He appeared on our property one day, and what a surprise he was!

Today, I'm sharing a little bit about one of my favorite flowers, the Hydrangea

What are your favorite flowers and shrubs? 

I always thought my favorite flower was a rose of any kind, but especially a tea rose. 

They still could be, but hydrangeas are up there for sure!

Saying Goodbye To and Celebrating The Life Of Oskar

Catie brought this little darling home one day in 2011

 And we've enjoyed him every minute for 14 years.

Today we share our loss of this very much loved part of the family

These are the first blooms from the new iris bulbs I purchased last year

All pictured were purchased from Gilbert Wild- Wild & Son

Received and planted in the Fall of 2024

Smooth Spiderwort a South Carolina Wildflower

These flowers have been around our homes for most of my life.  I thought they were pretty and planted them around my playhouses as a child. I didn't know they were wildflowers.

A bare spot free of grass and weeds is a gardener's blank slate, a canvas for plants, a dream!

Like Mama liked to say, "When life gives you lemons make lemonade"
