A Recent Very Sad Loss

We lost Doug, he recently passed away

He was the love of Catie's life.

 

We're still trying to get used to living on a daily basis without him

She expressed her feelings about him recently

It is so touching I'm adding it here 

Doug was very sick and none of us wanted that for him

 But, we thought we'd have more time with him here on this earth.

We always think tomorrow's another day

Isn't that the way with us humans?

Please be in prayer for Catie

She is so heartbroken

I asked him to model an apron I was working on.

Needless to say, here he is modeling one of my new men's aprons. 

He modeled quite a few for me and was very good at it. 

I sold every apron he modeled right away!

This boy could cook!

I miss my sidekick Doug

This young man helped me in so many ways. 

 

I probably wouldn't have a chicken alive 

Had he not wired their pens so well

Predators are the worst way out here

I've dwindled down the number of hens we have

The hens are still protected by his handiwork!

Now that's even more important for the precious few 

We're enjoying their delicious eggs daily

He was an excellent gardener and landscaper 

He was born with many talents

It sounds like all I miss is what he did for us, 

But that's not the case 

I miss just being around him

He was fun and easy to be around

Doug was such a caring, calm and laid back individual

We'd all get him to say the famous line

"Alright, alright, alright"
Because he sounded just like Matthew McConaughey
