We Have a Winner!

Heidi from White Wolf Summit Farmgirl Blog
and
My Simple Country Living Blog

Congratulations Heidi!

Hibiscus House Blog was started because I have a love for sharing and wanted others to realize that in this life it is the simple things that are the most important.
Blake Mycoskie wrote his book for the simple reasons to share, to inspire, to entertain and challenge you to
"Start Something That Matters."

Halloween Costume
Look at Catie's feet
Tom's wrap around boots

Only three pairs of the multiple pairs of TOMS Shoes my daughter Catie owns.  She is crafty. She covered the shoes in the third picture.
It makes her feel really good to know that each time she buys a pair of these shoes, someone somewhere in the world gets a pair of shoes.

TOMS has given me two books one to read and another to give.
Does this surprise me?  No. That is what they do, they give!

One quote: Love your work, work for what you love, and change the world—all at the same time.
It reaffirms the fact that if you can dream it, you can do it!  This book is exciting and does make one want to start something that matters. We can all get something from the book. Whether we are starting a new business or trying to accomplish something on our own that will help others, it is a great guide.  It is a very uplifting, motivational book.

I am pleased and honored to host this giveaway for the book
Ends:  Friday, January 20th

  2. I have to agree with "Unknown" I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your posts too my dear. Stories like this one inspire us all to help others. In my little community I sometimes volunteer to quilt quilts for local philanthropic efforts like Paul Newman's Painted Turtle Ranch (a family camp for children with terminal illness, a place where an entire medical staff volunteer so these children and their families can enjoy something we take for granted, time together in nature.)

  4. This sounds like a great book and would like to win it, also Blake sounds like a marvelous person. I am very giving and help out a homeless man that always comes here asking for work. I always overpay him, have given him clothes and shoes and many other things. For Christmas I gave him cash and he was so thankful. It's very rewarding to give. Hugs...Lu

  5. Okay... I am a little confused, which isn't hard to do, lol. I noticed that I hadn't heard from you in awhile so I came over to your blog to check on you and saw this post. But I KNEW that I already commented on the Toms. But the entry date was Jan. 14. I thought blogger was messed up so I left with intentions of coming back to check it out in a day or two. Then I got your email. So I now see that you have 2 posts about this, lol... I'm such a goober, hehe!

Anyway, glad to see that you are just fine. =] Wishing you a grand week, my sweet friend~
