Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt Baked Potato

Who likes a real oven-baked potato?  I do every once in a while that's for sure.  You just can't beat the potato baked in the oven.  We may bake many in the microwave but they aren't the same.

I love a potato no matter how you cook it and have been known as someone who could live like a cow with a salt lick! I'm laughing but it's true!

Combining the two together is just an easy way to get what I like.  This without a doubt will be the quickest and easiest recipe post you'll ever see on here.

My cousin Debbie said they baked potatoes like this at a restaurant she worked at. I'm glad she shared it because they are good!

Ingredients

  • Baking potatoes
  • Your choice of one of the following: Crisco Shortening, soft butter or olive oil
  • Jane's Krazy Original Mixed-Up Salt  (I love that stuff)

I do love potatoes!

Directions

  • Rub the potatoes with shortening, butter, or olive oil

  • Sprinkle a generous amount of Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt all over the potatoes

  • Wrap each potato with heavy-duty aluminum foil

  • Bake @ 400 degrees until tender.  Test with a fork inserted into the center of a potato

(Depending on the size of your potato, I'm guessing 45 minutes to an hour)

Time to Dig In!
Cut open fill with delicious butter and toppings of your choice
That was easy enough, wasn't it?
Enjoy!

If by chance you are like Chuck and eat the skin and all well, you are in for a treat. These are delicious!

I use this mixed up salt on lots of things!
It is a wonderful mix of natural salts, onion, garlic, herbs & spices

  2. Ok, now this is weird... I've never heard of that seasoning salt until yesterday when my sister was looking everywhere for it. And then here you post about it today. I guess that means I need to get some, haha! It sounds good as I love lots of seasonings and especially garlic. Neat story about the maker too! Thanks for sharing.

That is too cool! Your sister and you, Glad to have been of help to you. I really do like this blend on many things. They have it on some of the grocery shelves around here now, guess it has become popular enough for some to carry.
