Start Something That Matters

Don't you just love this title?  I know I do!
My daughter Catie has been buying Toms Shoes for years. That is how I first heard about them.  The truth is she owns so many pairs of these basically the only shoes she wears. I am going to have to take a picture and post.  It makes her feel really good to know that each time she buys a pair of these shoes, someone somewhere in the world gets a pair of shoes.

TOMS has given me two books one for me to read and another to give away.
Does this surprise me?  No that is what they do, they give!
I am in the process of reading and will then give my review then give one away to one of you.

I am pleased and honored that:

The next giveaway is this book.

I am gonna try something a little different.

Let's start 2012 off with giving in our hearts.
Let's follow Blake's example

Disclosure:  I was given this book for the purpose of a giveaway.

  1. My teen daughter just discovered these shoes the past year, thank goodness it wasn't years ago, haha! But she uses her money to buy her own. She was also drawn to the fact that every time she buys a pair, another pair is given away. I didn't realize there was a book, I'm sure it is interesting. I'll have to get it for my daughter. Let me know how it is. Thanks for posting this!

    Have a delightful week~

  2. Your name is in the pot for you to win this for your daughter! Thanks for the comments.

  3. I'd love to hear your review of the book. I didn't realize Toms did that (we don't have a Toms in our area).

  4. My teenagers love Toms. I didn't realize they gave away a pair of shoes until a few weeks ago. How awesome is that!!!

  5. My daughter LOVES these shoes! She was one of the first to wear them at her school and she was just doing it because of the message that "Tom's" puts out. It warms my heart to think that my children are that conscientious. Must be doing something right... I bet his book is inspirational as well!
