Of this chick
Look at those little feathery feet
Mom looks a little flustered and has her hands full now.
The others seem to be saying,
"What are we going to do now?"
I always chuckle when I see that breed of chicken. It always makes me remember the Russian girls in the movie "Spies like Us". They are so cute though!
ReplyDeleteThey are funny! Clint, I now have to go and watch that movie...Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour chickens are gorgeous! I wish I had good mommy birds, but mine don't seem to have any interest in sitting on a nest or raising babies. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kristen! I have had chickens for a few years but have only had one bantam that would get broody. It seems that the smaller variety are more apt to be broody. These are very cute. That instinct seems to have been bread out of hens....
ReplyDeleteHello Dolly,
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you have a broody mama hen. Your hens, rooster, and babies are so beautiful. I am planning on getting a few heirloom chicks soon. Jerry caved in so I will be rereading all of yours and Deb's old hen posts.
I am excited about it! I am also excited that you Heidi will be getting some chicks!!
DeleteDolly,
ReplyDeleteYour chickens are beautiful! If I had some I would name them all too. Happy Spring.
Pat
Thank you Pat! I'll bet you would name them...they each have their own distinct personality...people act as if they don't but they do. Happy Spring to you too!! I love this time of year!
DeleteI love those feet!
ReplyDeleteHey Kathy, I do too! They are so cute. That one the smallest is the one that wanders away from mom very independent and the larger is up under her wing all day. Thanks for stopping by as always I love your animals too!
DeleteSo cute Dolly! A new spring chick just in time for Easter! Well, I bet we get to watch this little one grow right along with you! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Deb,
ReplyDeleteI know isn't that great? You have just given me the future post ideas...I love it too...
Dolly your chickens/chicks are just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing about them and I love the photography :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you, I sure do love them. You are so sweet, I hope you know how much I love your blog, in case you don't I love your blog! Have a great weekend!
