Look at those little feathery feet

Mom looks a little flustered and has her hands full now.

The others seem to be saying,
"What are we going to do now?"

  1. I always chuckle when I see that breed of chicken. It always makes me remember the Russian girls in the movie "Spies like Us". They are so cute though!

  3. Your chickens are gorgeous! I wish I had good mommy birds, but mine don't seem to have any interest in sitting on a nest or raising babies. :)

  4. Thank you so much Kristen! I have had chickens for a few years but have only had one bantam that would get broody. It seems that the smaller variety are more apt to be broody. These are very cute. That instinct seems to have been bread out of hens....

  5. Hello Dolly,
It's wonderful that you have a broody mama hen. Your hens, rooster, and babies are so beautiful. I am planning on getting a few heirloom chicks soon. Jerry caved in so I will be rereading all of yours and Deb's old hen posts.

    1. Hey Kathy, I do too! They are so cute. That one the smallest is the one that wanders away from mom very independent and the larger is up under her wing all day. Thanks for stopping by as always I love your animals too!
