Spotlight of the Week: Mrs Hines

Hibiscus House is pleased to present our Spotlight of the Week Sharon Hines. I thoroughly enjoy her blog, I always learn something and have fun while doing so. I know that you will too.  Now in her own words:

I'm Sharon, a 44 year old wife and mother.  I will celebrate my 15th wedding anniversary in December.  And recently we celebrated my beautiful daughter's 14th birthday.  She is my only child and my motivation to make the most of every day.

I tell people that I'm a born writer.  As a young girl, I used to sit on top of the slide on the play set in my backyard with a pen in hand, writing short stories and poems.
I continued to write off and on over the years.  It wasn't until more recent years that I realized that I would love to write for a living.  I also have a passion for my family and for making our house a home.

So, I combined my love of writing with my passion for homemaking and created Mrs. Hines Class
where we cook, decorate and d.i.y. our way to a better home.  I have always been one to bring others along with me on my journey and share what I learn in the process.  It's a God-given gift of teaching, or maybe it's the bossy oldest child thing :) or a bit of both.

Beth Moore once said that while our gifts remain, our assignments will change.  Last year, my assignment changed.  I left the classroom to devote my time to my family and my home.  It was also a year of renewal.

The blogging community has been a place of refuge.  I made new friends and have been pleasantly surprised at how real and meaningful my online friendships became.  Being amongst my blogger friends has felt like a warm homecoming.  I'm finally in my element.

It has made me strong again, and given me confidence to dream big.  I'm going to continue to pursue the dreams and passions that are placed on my heart.  I want to encourage you to do the same.

Sharon

I want to thank you so much for sharing this story with us Sharon!

Until next time,
