A New Backyard Addition

Look what I found!  What a cute little doll to find on Thanksgiving.  I was busy cleaning and cooking when something stopped me in my tracks.  I had to run get the camera bad lighting and all to catch our newest addition to the Hibiscus House Backyard.  This little chick has two mothers.  They sat so long and hard to hatch this little one.  The Silkie Breed are so adorable and get along so well.  Just look at the way these two are looking at each other. I'm sharing more pictures so click and come on in the chicken pen.......
Casper, the Great Pyrenees is excited this morning also running around.  He needs a good bath and combing but I wanted to share his excitement too.  I'm thankful that he is such a great keeper of the chickens.  He was a gift too you may remember how we got him after the death of Chewy...If not you can read all about it here

Look at him run to show me what we had new in the small coop.

He couldn't help it he had to stop and eat a little something in between running.

This is one lucky chick to have two mothers.

Goodbye for now cute little chick.  I guess I'll have to come up with a name.  I see a white spot on top of his head....yes I am thinking it just may be a rooster.  If you follow me you know I have a track record for having roosters.  We'll have to wait and see..I'd love some names that would work for either male or female...please comment if you would like to give this little doll a name. What a wonderful Thanksgiving Chick.

This is such a busy time of year isn't it?  Christmas is next and there is so much to do.  The most important things are your loved ones.  Please take the time to enjoy every single minute with them.  I'm missing my Mama "Dot" daily and wishing she were here for me to talk to, hug and just look at...Cherish every minute always, always!
