Ingredients
1 Lb. lean ground beef
3/4 cup onion chopped finely
3 cloves garlic minced finely
6 medium mushrooms sliced
3 Tbs. butter
Pasta of your choice
Sauce
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup shredded Mozzerella Cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbs. all purpose flour
1 cup chicken or beef broth
1 cup water from pasta
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
Begin boiling water with salt to cook pasta. Cook the pasta.
While the pasta is cooking do the following:
Brown ground beef sprinkle a touch of salt & pepper, drain excess fat and water, remove from pan.
Making The Sauce
Add butter to pan on medium low heat add onion and garlic plus pinch of salt and pepper sauteing until onions are glossy.
Add sliced mushrooms and flour to pan stirring lightly to mix flour with butter etc.
Cook for a minute or two until bubbly and hot to allow time to cook flour.
Add broth slowly stirring to prevent lumps
Add water stirring for a minute. Mixture will thicken as it cooks.
Add grated cheeses turn down heat to low.
Keep stirring until smooth, cooking another minute or so. Stir in heavy cream and then sour cream. Allow to heat through taste for seasoning.
Serve immediately over hot pasta of your choice.
Makes 4-6 Servings
