This N That Kind Of Weekend!

It has been a cloudy, rainy, weekend here

Yet, it has been filled with activity and rest

A talented family member is in a gaming competition!

How awesome is that?

Ready to be planted!

A few of my friends and I have our minds on planting peanuts
I'm waiting on the last frost in our area to come and go so
The planting can begin!

We love peanuts around here so we're excited to grow our own for a change

I did get about half of our Texas Sweet Onion Sets in the ground on Friday!

I hope when this rainy weekend is over it will dry out enough to finish planting!
I have some white and red onions to get in
Excited to see and enjoy the rewards of gardening!

Last year's crop was wonderful!
You can't beat Dixondale Farms Onions!

Hope you're planting some food and flowers for the season weather permitting

I've spent some time in the sewing/craft room
This cabinet is now filled every inch of it with fabric
I have more that needs space!
This fabric and thread hoarder needs to become a minimalist for sure!

I am, believe it or not, Bible reading and resting today
(blogging in bed 😊 how lazy is that?)

Some chicken nuggets are soaking in buttermilk and waiting to be fried!
You know it's Sunday and that is fried chicken day around here!

Until Next Time,

  1. What a wonderful peek into your Sunday, Dolly. You will laugh...I called around and tried to find Vidalia onion sets. I found out it only grows in the Vidalia south Georgia area. lol Have fun planting peanuts. When I lived in the south we used to eat peanuts with RC Cola. Good for you for taking a bible and rest day. We all need to do that sometimes. xo Diana

    1. They claim the name Vidalia but only that variety. You can order these Texas Sweets from Dixondale probably to grow in your area. If not they'll certainly point you in the right direction for something I hope. Oh what fun peanuts in the RC Cola! The day was good. xo Dolly

  2. My back hurts just thinking about digging all those onion holes! What are you going to do with all that fabric? You are a busy lady and glad to hear you are having a Sunday rest. Have a good week.

    1. Hey Eileen,
I'll tell you a secret. It does take more time getting down there and getting back up lol. I have no idea about the fabric. The craft show days are not what they used to be. I need to pull out the sewing machine and make something that's for sure. I do miss sewing.
How are you? I hope you're doing well. Have a great week!
