It seems that all of my iris bloom one color at a time. I love them though they are beautiful.
Could someone tell me the name of the little flowering plant next to this Iris? We have had them for years. It may be a weed but I love it.
Happy Gardening to everyone!
I took that saying of Roland's from the show
Beautiful photos ! Dont you just love spring when all is fresh new and growing ? Have a great day !
ReplyDeleteThank you and yes I sure do love Spring and Summer! I sure hope you have a great day also!

One of my neighbors has these really large white and purple/yellow irises blooming in his front yard. It's just beautiful. I've snapped a couple photos with my camera already :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
ReplyDeleteHello Heather!
DeleteI'll bet those are pretty, blooming together. Love and hugs go out to you too.
She is so pretty! My iris have started to open now too but the lighter purple ones first. I haven't seen the dark ones yet. I don't believe the flower growing next to your Iris is a weed, it looks like spiderwort like I have growing.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
DeleteThank you. Oh I'll be the lighter color is beautiful. It is funny last night on our local SCETV they had this plant on their people were asking about it. You are right it is a Spiderwort. Thanks too.
Hi Dolly,
ReplyDeleteI love Gloria and the irises. Spring is the best time of year for me. I like seeing all the new life bursting from unsuspected places. I cannot really see that small plant well, but the color resembles wild hyacinth. I hope you find out what it is...
Thank you Heidi. For me too, ditto to all you said about Spring...Found out and it is a Spiderwort. We had them when I lived at home and I have carried them to every home I have lived in almost. It is good to know the name...they said on the SCETV show last night that it was a weed but heck I like it. It has not gotten invasive at any of my gardens. I can't wait to see what you have been up too this week....
DeleteBeautiful flowers, and I think your little flower might be spiderwort. Now I see that someone above me has suggested the same. I think they are so cute, but don't like the name.
ReplyDeleteHi Anita,
DeleteYou are right and thank you for the information! They even had it on TV last night. Thank you and so glad you came by busy lady. Thank you for your weekly parties I love them.
i also have a yard full of iris' and i love them!!
ReplyDeleteYes Tami they are pretty. I know you must be getting excited about your farm! You will have so much room to grow things, I am happy for you!
DeleteHey girl! Your Gloria is beautiful surrounded by those lovely white azalea blossoms... and I love the iris too! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteHey Deb,
DeleteThank you. I see you have been creating so many beautiful things inside and out at your place. I love your pantry, what you did to that cabinet is amazing and took a lot of work. You inspire me girl!
Lovely post and Gloria is so pretty. I love the purple iris. Hugs...Lu
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I do too. So glad you stopped by and hope you are having a wonderful week!
DeleteDolly
so pretty!! I am waiting for my Iris's to bloom...I love spring!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mom,
DeleteThanks I can see you love flowers too! I too love Spring, most wonderful time of year. Have a great week!
Dolly
We have none of these delights in AZ. Thank you so much for sharing your blooms!
ReplyDeleteDon't know if anyone has identified your mystery plant.....but I think it's spiderwort (trycentra?) - It should bloom most of the summer if you cut back the blooms. One of my favorites in the garden.
ReplyDeleteDolly, I love your water girl fountain! The white azalea behind it is gorgeous as well as your irises. It's a good thing people identified your other flower. I am unfamiliar with it. Have a great weekend!
