What Time Is It?

Can you believe it is Christmas Eve?  I can't!  I hope you all have a wonderful day today with the kids awaiting Santa.  We adults still have the happy memories of this day and the excitement we all felt.  Bursting with anticipation for what the night may bring.  The thoughts of gathering with family and friends, the laughter that fills the air!  The kids don't want to eat and rush all others, as my Aunt Fannie used to say, " It's time for the 'Paper Tearing' to begin!"  Are you ready?

Every family has traditions they enjoy and carry on for generations to come.  We have always gathered with family and friends on Christmas Eve for our big meals, gift giving, and pure enjoyment of being together.

Christmas Day is spent in thankfulness, resting, having more relatives over and of course visiting smaller family members to see what Santa has brought to them. It is a busy, but fun time for sure!

I hope you're able to be with the ones you love this Christmas.  If you're not I pray you have a joyous one wherever you may be.

We are not quite ready in this household but I hope to be before nightfall.  Decorating had to take a back seat to all of the happenings around here.  I'll put something in the oven, put on some music, clean and decorate in anticipation of family coming tonight.  It will be a good day!

Our new artificial flocked Christmas tree we found at Taylor's Garden & Gift
Which will be decorated today!
I may need the help of my tree decorators

They do a really great job!

We won a gift card and had a great time shopping
at Taylor Garden & Gift Shop
Excellent shop and we have always found wonderful
unique living things and gifts there!

Chuck was a great help hauling all of our loot to the car and helping to pick out a few ornaments as well!  He really is one of the rare husbands that enjoys looking and shopping, well for a short time anyway.  Although like most men is scared he will step on or break something in some of these shops.

Well, I've sat and drunk coffee all morning I need to get this fun stuff done!
I couldn't leave you today without saying why we celebrate this time of year.
It is the celebration of the birth of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ

I leave you with this truth:

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”” -Luke 2:11-14

"And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them
concerning this Child.  And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them
By the shepherds.  But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard
and seen, as it was told them." --Luke 2:16-20

Merry Christmas Friends!
