What's Going On - This n' That

This little cutie seems to have fallen from the sky onto our home place
He chews and tears up everything in site down to my plant markers
But look at that face he is so blame cute and so lovable
It is what it is and we love him!

We have two garden helpers now!
Catie is trying to train the newest little wild pup.

We bought lots of produce from a local farmer Ellerbe Vegetable Farm
Blanched and froze a few quarts for later!
We'll have some for Thanksgiving!

Can You Believe This!
Look what started blooming on November 13th and they're still in bloom!

These Iris Think It's Spring!

Please excuse the flower beds they need cleaning out but that will come later.

Celosia is drying up but the color variation is still attractive.
The seeds are forming in the center great news for next year's blooms!

Pretty Red Sage/Salvia!

Pretty in Pink

The vegetables in the ground garden have long played out. But look at what is still blooming and producing in the Vegepods!  They really extend the growing season.

I made a salad yesterday filled with these fresh goodies!

Tomatoes Are Blooming & Bearing!

I picked some of the ripe tomatoes from these tiny plants yesterday!

The Vegepods are a wonderful thing to own.  Raised for easier gardens are the best! I intend to use them to the fullest year round.

We expect frigid weather tonight so I don't expect much more to produce.  The blooms may drop, but one can hope!

Allergies are still giving me a fit this year  with rare warm weather and plants still in bloom.

Oh, Carly and I went to see Martha Stewart in Charleston recently!  We had a blast touring around the city.  I'll be posting on that soon as well.

I may post a few posts today because I need to catch up.

It's time for Thanksgiving!

Until Next Time

  1. Wow, your season is long. We had a much more mild fall this year, and we just took our hanging plants down due to snow and cold temps. And I wanted to put the outside Christmas lights up while the weather was warmer. Cute puppy.

    1. It has been this year. The down to freezing temps took a little toll but until then all was great. I wish you could have put up your Christmas lights before the snow and cold. Probably because we get snow so rarely is the reason we always want it...lol Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving stay warm. Thank you, that puppy is a mess or makes a mess lol but is adorable...xoxo Dolly
