I like this cute little bunny egg dish.  I think I found it at Tomlinson's Wholesale years ago.  I need to go back haven't been in quite awhile.  Do you love bunnies especially this time of year?

Orange Marmalade

Do you like Orange Marmalade?  I sure do and always have.  When I was small I remember my daddy getting all sorts of gifts at Christmas from his customers.  The gift packs were my favorite.  You know the ones with summer sausage, cheese, crackers and jams.  If I was lucky one of those jams would be Orange Marmalade.  Daddy liked it too but he would smile and hand it to me.  Memories.

We went to see Paddington Bear at the movies and thoroughly enjoyed it. That also brought to my mind Orange Marmalade! 

Little Dickens is Back!

She was gone for three days, but she came back.  I'd say that was a miracle and a blessing.

Weekend at Mimi's

I love being a Mimi!  These little boys make it so much fun.  They are active little boys so I have to think hard to find something for them to do.  Especially when the weather is not so good.  Please join me in pictures for our fun weekend....

Rose Gardens: Trimming The White Roses

The photo above shows the mass of old rose branches after the bloom.  I usually trim back after the first huge bloom that they have every Spring here at Hibiscus House.  I failed to do so last year so I have just done a massive trimming.  We will see what happens this year when Spring comes.

Dresser to Island $6.97

The last post showing the dresser repurpose today.  Gwen took her grandmother's bedroom dresser and combined it with doors from a cabinet in storage.  She took those doors rebuilt to fit the dresser and painted a beautiful rooster on them.  She took drawers from a side table to use in this project and painted the drawer pulls she had on hand.  She had the lumber, all tools, stains and paints to make this project.  She tried to make this for little to no cash spent. 

She thought she was finished with the brown stain but then decided that wasn't the look she wanted, so she painted it white.  It matches her 1940s cabinet trims and bar stools.

I think she did a pretty good job of it since she spent only $6.97 for lacquer.  Great job Gwen!
