A Sign From A Tiny New Miracle Hen

Chuck gathered the eggs from the hen house the other day and rushed into the house with amazing news!

He said, "You're not going to believe this! Look at this egg!"  He handed the tiny white egg to me. My first words were. " WOW, we have another miraculous sign!"

I immediately began to rub the egg thinking maybe that was straw stuck to the egg, but it wasn't! It was a cross as plain as day.  The smudge on the side almost looks like a star!  The images were a part of the shell!

It is simple beauty.  You know God sends us signs when we least expect them and where we would never expect them.  We received this sign right on time! 

I'd like to introduce you to our 'Little Miracle Chicken'

Her short story She Is a Living miracle 

She is one of the 4 little chicks we got this year from a local feed & seed.  Her sister another White Leghorn was sadly killed when predators got into their pen.  This little chick survived. I was soon to see the wounds she received and unbelievably survived!  

She had blood on her face so I checked her thoroughly. What I found startled me!  I wondered how could she still walk around with the injuries? 

I lifted the feathers on the back of her neck and saw inside her body!  There was a hole in the back of her neck and down her back.  I saw neck bones and down into her back some of her spine there was no skin there. Whoa! How is she alive and cooing?  From that day forward she came to me, ate out of my hand, and talked.  She was very verbal and cooed like she was singing to us.  She was indeed a survivor!

She is the first of the 3 chicks to lay an egg.  She gave us this egg with the cross sign on it. The other 2 are still not laying eggs. I have my suspicions on that too and you can read about them here. I hope they'll lay soon.  I've never had pullets take this long to lay their first egg.

I could write a book, who knows I may someday but for now sharing only a few of them with you.

Some of you may remember my visitor one Christmas

He had a turban on his head and was holding a gift.  It startled me at first, but it wasn't a scary visit.  I felt comforted and thought as I was decorating our dining room, "I think I just had a visit from one of the Wise Men". Oh well who knows?  I prayed aloud for God's protection and continued on getting ready for our dinner.

Things do happen around us.  We've become quite accustomed to them, but there are times when some stop you in your tracks. These are a few of them. Pay attention and you may see some miraculous signs yourself.  The best signs of all: 

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign"

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,

And shall call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah 7:14

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 

We had our traditional Christmas Eve with family
