Loved walking down the dirt road with you and the gorgeous pictures on the way:) Thanks for following me. I'm happily following you back through LF. Have a wonderful evening!~Poppy@ With a Dash of Color
Hi Poppy, I am so glad you came by and thank you so much for following. I can't wait to see all of the fun things you have going on at With a Dash of Color.
Happy President's Day Dolly! Wow! I love the photos you captured today. I'm a sucker for cotton fields, but your hens stole the show. What pretty ladies, and what fantastic eggs. It's no wonder you're baking. I like the wooden egg basket that appears to have been a hand hewn log basket. Pretty. I can hardly believe you have columbine and roses now. I am so jealous.
I watched a History piece about the American Revolutionary war last night and thought of you. We came so close to losing that war. The event I watched was about a 38+ day siege on Charleston by the British who had more than 10,000 soldiers while our men numbered 750, had few supplies, little food, and some even had no shoes. America has beaten the odds so many times it seems. What a legacy we've inherited.
Hey Heidi, No don't be jealous I cheated with those pics I did walk the road but I got carried away. I do have some with buds but no blooms. The roses are last years. My daughter and her husband gave me that bowl it is so unusual I love it. It is carved out of a solid block of wood.
About the war, they were a tough weren't they? I love our American History. I hope you had a great President's Day!
I enjoyed all your photos! The cotton fields are so gorgeous!
