Teasing Georgia

I've come to realize through posting on this blog that I definitely am a lover of roses.  There are certain ones that I've noticed seem to perform well here in this South Carolina Garden.  This is one lovely rose and I'd like to share it with you today along with some information about it.

 Teasing Georgia

A David Austin English Rose.

 Bred by David Austin
Yellow in Color

Double Full Bloom

Medium Shrub

 Strong Fragrance

 Excellent Repeating Bloom

Short Climber

Very Hardy

A yellow rose of delicate beauty; the flowers are of a particularly pleasing cupped formation. The center petals are in the form of a rich, deep yellow cup, while the outer petals fall back and fade to palest yellow providing a most pleasing, two-tone effect.

The growth is strong but graceful, displaying the flowers nicely.

Pleasant, medium-strong Tea Rose fragrance. Good disease-resistance and repeat-flowering.

Named for Mr. Ulrich Meyer, after his wife Georgia, both of whom are well known media personalities in Germany.

Winner of the Henry Edland Medal in 2000 for the best scented variety in the R.N.R.S. Trials and awards in other trials both in the UK and around the world.

I adore this rose as a matter of fact I own two, one on each side of the house.  I must confess that I see peach color more than yellow.  It is beautiful!
I recommend this rose highly.
