These little daffodils are the first welcoming sign this time of year. It lets me know that my favorite time of the year, Spring is on the way. How exciting it is! How beautiful they are!
What joy to see these colorful things blooming among all of the brown dead looking area
A little colorful spot in a sea of bland sleeping landscape
I have lots of yard work to do that's for sure!
We've been unable to do much in the past three years
Extended family circumstances have kept us away
I have about two years worth of gardening to catch up on. Life has taken me/us away from this chore we love. Hopefully this year we will at least get it in shape for new growth.
We have a family member, not in the same household, we are responsible for who has the dreaded Alzheimer's Disease. Most of you probably know of someone at least who has this. It is no picnic for family members, by any means. You lose the person way before they die.
I'm thankful for Regency Hospice and the care they are giving. Now that's a topic Hospice, brings to mind death. I have since found that they offer such good services and help. Frankly I don't know what we would do without them.
Without a doubt caregivers, everywhere need to be lifted up in prayer as well as the patients. I do know the Lord gives us the strength to carry on.
What a beauty!
This rose has given us many years of beauty!
I can't wait to see the blooms this year!
Chuck learning a few things about beekeeping!
He and some friends went to retrieve honeybees from the walls of a local home. The walls were filled with them and honey!
Men hard at work
The sad thing is the bees were a dying colony. The guys helped the homeowners but the bees did not make it for long. A good effort was made to save them.
Aren't these beautiful?
I had a visit recently from some Facebook friends from Canada! This beautiful arrangement of flowers was given to us from them. We all had a delightful visit for sure. Emilie, Irene, and Jim were a joy to meet!
We sat enjoyed coffee scones and other little things. I know they told me not to cook so these little things we had. The company was what was the best! Oh, and they'd never eaten a Krispy Kreme Donut, so Chuck and Jim went to bring some of those back for them to try.
This photo was taken two days ago!
Beautiful
(The vase was given to me for a product review but as you can imagine by the shape
They have sold out and are in production as we speak.
My Product Review will be coming later hopefully!)
The flowers are still going strong after many many weeks! Every time I look at them I think of those who gave them to us!
Emilie and I have been friends on Facebook for seven years and now I have her twin sister that we were blessed to meet as a friend! You can meet genuine friends through them. We hope to visit them in the near future!
Blueberry Scones
I told them they were my guinea pigs for that one.
Think they turned out ok...
I'll share the recipe later.
