I can't remember how many years I've used Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix. If you have the ingredients on hand why not make it yourself? Most of the recipes are basically the same. This mix is a fine substitute. I used it in a meatloaf and it was good.
I suggest you check your spices and keep them fresh it makes a difference in taste. Most spices can be kept well past their use by dates but make sure the ones you have can be used for taste and safety.

If you have the ingredients in your pantry as I do it is a time saver
Plus a little money-saver
I didn't add sugar, salt, garlic powder, or cornstarch to today's mix
If needed can always add to what you're cooking
Years ago I did make it with sugar, salt, and cornstarch
